Map of all Pools Open Summer of 2013 in Clark County

We have pools open to the public all over the place, but no single place to look them all up until now.

Presenting this year’s map of all public pools open in the Las Vegas area to families operated by the county, city, or YMCA.

If I missed a pool please post in comments and I will research and add it.

Clark County Nevada Water Parks Open Memorial Day Weekend!

Thank you John Cahill for passing along the news!

This is GOOD NEWS, but in 2010 the County opened 14 water parks and pools on Memorial Day weekend.  See the YouTube video below for the 2010 announcement.  Cutbacks matter and your neighborhood may not a pool open this summer.

Memorial Day Weekend Kicks Off Opening Of Clark County Pools

Six County pools and water parks will open for Memorial Day Weekend beginning Saturday, kicking off the beginning of summer fun and underscoring the importance of drowning prevention.

Residents can enjoy swimming at the following pools and water parks from noon to 6 p.m. all weekend:

The County’s water parks feature twisting slides, gushing fountains, play areas, zero-depth entry for young swimmers, and shade on the pool deck for those taking a break.

Water Park fees are:

  • $2 for youth 3 to 17 years
  • $3 for adults 18 to 49 years
  • $1 for seniors
  • Children under 3 are free.

Neighborhood pool fees are:

  • $1 for youth 3 to 17 years
  • $2 for adults 18 to 49 years
  • $1 for seniors
  • Children under 3 are free.

The start of pool season also marks drowning awareness prevention efforts by Clark County’s Fire and Development Services departments. Both are sponsors of the Health District’s annual ABC&D’s of Drowning Prevention campaign, which emphasizes the need for adult supervision and barriers around swimming pools to prevent drownings. Most drowning victims are 4 years old or younger. The majority of drowning deaths occur in the family pool, with 70 percent of incidents occurring between 2 and 8 p.m.
