FREE Webinars to Learn How to Help Increase Involvement in Schools in Your Community

A gift this most recent Las Vegas mayoral election has given us is to think about how we can engage with our local schools to make our community a better place for all children to live.

For those of us who are parents it may mean re-dedicating ourselves to volunteering at the school our children attend. It can also mean bigger picture ideas to fully implement the empowerment school models to work with multiple community stakeholders to promote achievement in our schools.

Information is power. Parents need to know the best practices that have worked in other parts of the country in addition to the feedback of what well meaning attempts have fallen flat.

So this summer before school starts next fall take some time to review these webinars so that you too can have a voice in our community about your vision for our schools.

Ensuring School Readiness Through Successful Transitions: Talks about the value of community based early education programs.

Building Strategic Partnerships to Foster Community Engagement in Education : How to get the wider community to support our schools.
