This event is FREE ADMISSION to help all Las Vegas families get out there to experience science in our community.
Here is the exciting news about the first ever Las Vegas Science Festival.
There are lots of ways to get involved with the Festival – as a sponsor, volunteer,
exhibitor, host of an event, educator, scientist and more.
Participants bring the Festival to life. If you are in a scientific field of business, or have even a show that relates to science (physics is everywhere) please consider helping the Science Festival.
You’ll engage attendees of all ages and make the world of science accessible to our community. Make sure to follow this event on Facebook and Twitter to keep up on all of the news.
Remember if you want your child’s school to be part of this NOW is the time to have a plan of how you can contribute to help with participation. Our teachers are overworked as it is already, it is not reasonable to expect to pile the Science Festival on top of their work. However a parent willing to take the reigns to bring science to their child’s class is always appreciated. Home school families I hope to see you participating too!

Science is Everywhere Day
Sunday, May 1
At museums, educational institutions and science-related venues in the Las Vegas Valley and beyond. Behind-the-scenes guided tours offer a unique look at science at work in our community. Science is happening everywhere: creating architectural wonders, making us “ooh” and “ahh” at amazing shows, developing innovative conservation methods and much more. Plan your own route with places to visit for a great day of discovery.
Science Week : Science in the Schools
May 2-6
Throughout the Las Vegas Valley
Bringing scientists, hands-on activities, science career information and more to students in grades K-12 and local colleges and universities. You won’t want to miss class this week! Programming also available for homeschoolers and senior centers.
Science Week : Great Debates
May 2-6, three evening programs
Featuring special guest speakers who represent divergent view points on thought-provoking current topics. It’s a way to improve your personal science literacy and hear about the many sides of important issues.
Expo Day
Saturday, May 7
Cashman Center
Get your hands dirty, scientifically speaking, as the Festival culminates in an all-day Expo.
We’re expecting 100 or more exhibitors from our most prominent science-related organizations and businesses, offering engaging hands-on activities, entertainment and education.
It’s a one-of-a-kind day of learning – cleverly disguised as fun.
