Night at the Museum: A Bug’s Life

Local parents who want a few hours to themselves — without getting “bugged” — will have that chance when the Springs Preserve hosts its next kids-only “Night at the Museum” event.

Parents can drop their kids off at the Springs Preserve for a safe night of entertainment including a screening of the G-rated animated film, “A Bug’s Life.” The evening will feature various kid-friendly group activities and tours, and snacks and a pizza dinner will be served to all children in attendance.

Night at the Springs Preserve – Summer Break from the Kids for Parents!

This event is genius! Get out with your spouse while your children enjoy the Springs Preserve! I hope they have many more of these this summer because with these long summer days parents need a break!

Kids can enjoy a Night at the Museum at the Springs Preserve in July.

Saturday, July 9 the Springs Preserve will open its doors for kids 5 to 12. They’ll get a chance to eat pizza and enjoy the movie “Tangled” in the Origen Museum. Parents are encouraged to drop their kids off for the event. There will be trained staff to supervise. The event is from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. tickets are $25 and are available now but there is a limit of only 120 on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Springs Preserve is FREE on Memorial Day May 30th

Target Free Day

Spend Memorial Day visiting the museums and attractions at the Springs Preserve and participating in fun crafts and activities — all free of charge — during Target Free Day.

Thanks to a generous donation from Target, visitors will have unlimited access to all Springs Preserve attractions, museums and exhibits.

The event also will feature live entertainment, including a presentation of the popular Wild Things at the Springs animal show at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. There also will be kids’ crafts, face painters, a DJ and food.

Another great deal this weekend spend at least $75 at the Meadows Mall this weekend (May 26 to 31) and receive a free Springs Preserve Summer Family pass valid May 26 to Aug. 31. Make sure to bring your receipts to the mall’s admin office by June 1 to get your coupon, which can then be redeemed at the Preserve ticket office.

The cafe at the Springs Preserve will be closed during the evening, but with a mall across the street and plenty of dining in the area you will be able to easily find something to do with 4 kid-free hours on your hands.
