Spring Celebration and Foster Connect

Families will enjoy a spring celebration with amusement rides, jump houses, crafts, games, farmers market, community vendors, music and much more. Interested families will be able to receive information on becoming a foster family.

YAllapalooza Book Fest at the Centennial Hills Library!

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and Barnes & Noble have teamed up to present YAllapalooza, a day-long festival celebrating teen literature on Saturday, February 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Centennial Hills Library, 6711 N. Buffalo Drive in Las Vegas.

Panel discussions are scheduled including a Buffy discussion, with New York Times bestselling author Nancy Holder who has written a number of popular books in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. Dan Haring, who has worked on the filmsTangled and Hotel Transylvania, will present an animation workshop.

Join a teen writing group, participate in craft programs or come dressed as your favorite book character for a fashion show.

Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre, 7101 N. Buffalo Drive, at Deer Springs Way.
Bring the family and a blanket for an Evening under the Stars with Councilman Ross. Families will enjoy live music provided by the Doolittle Senior Center’s “Never Too Late Band” and a fun Old West-style melodrama provided by Bonnie Springs Ranch. There will be food available for purchase from a variety of Ward 6 vendors.
